Then I spent probably 3 hours in Blender cleaning up the mesh with sculpting tools, baking the texture back onto the cleaned mesh, importing into Quixel Mixer and blending in some materials from MegaScans.
It took about an hour to go through their initial NeRF generation and cleanup steps to get the model output. I generated the initial image with SD 2.1 with a very crude initial image sketch to give some color guidance and make sure I got close to a side view of the tortoise.Īs described in the stable-dreamfusion repo for the image to 3D using the zero123 model (you can read more about that in their repo here: ) I used the 105000 checkpoint of zero123.
